Terrorists are still actively seeking to hijack commercial airliners - will yours
be next?
Once terrorists are on board your aircraft, nine out of ten airliners terrorist
target will be defenseless - are you or your crew prepared?
The result will be another successful 9/11 attack, or a military shooting down
of an innocent airliner - what’s your life worth?
History has shown us that many hijackings could have been avoided if the crew would have had even the
most basic of realistic training. The crew as well as passengers of flight 93 that went down in the 9/11
hijackings, was such a group that avoided many more deaths had the airlines been successfully aimed at
another public or governmental institution.

Unfortunately more such events will take place in the future after the successful hijacking and crashing of
major airliners into the United States most symbolic buildings.
Death and carnage do not have to be the outcome in any future hijack attempt. Flight crew can do much to
help secure their safety in the sky. With many airlines companies fighting to stay alive financially, many can
not afford to supply their crew with life saving skills. As we have seen and hopefully have learned from the
past tragedies, flight crew members must educate themselves in anti hijacking techniques as well as
hijacking survival. You owe it to yourself to keep you safe.

Human behavior and stress recognition is one of the most important aspects of a well prepared staff.
Knowing normal behavior versus abnormal behavior patterns in people will

greatly reduce unforeseen problems in flight. Body language and human behavior is one of the most
important and the most neglected of security training. This part will also greatly help in recognizing unruly or
problematic behavior before situations escalate.
