Amanuut Krav Maga has been developed in a special spirit, called experience.
This development came from trial and error, which in turn developed experience. Studying the results from past
mistakes of others as well as ours, we understood what must to be done the next time to better raise the chances
of less injury to the practitioner. Combat for streets or anti terror is about evaluator growth of and evolution
development.

Amanuut Krav Maga owes its development to many combative systems. Many techniques within in AKM have
been taken from many people who are just "fighters" not calling them selfs Martial artists. Just simple men and
women in the business of security, and having techniques that have worked in their profession of security as well
as counter terrorism/law enforcement and fugitive recovery.

Many good men and women have donated to the "art of contact combat" AKM. Many are with us today some
have passed away. But from their experiences of violent encounters AKM has been constantly evolving by the
experience of the people we come into contact with.

Unfortunately many claiming to teach reality based self defence know very little and have never even set foot in
arena of violent encounters, thus giving many true defence teachers a bad image amongst police/ victim
services as well as people that have been victimized. Many "martial arts teachers" have never interviewed rape
victims battered women or anyone that has survived a life and death encounter.

In Amanuut Krav Maga we give belts (for level purposes, knowledge of set techniques) like the traditional oriental
arts. This just tells another student what techniques and studies they have learned from their starting time in the
system. Nothing more.

The most valued part of Amanuut Krav Maga is the moral integrity fighting spirit of the student. Our goal is to
help people be a pillar in society. Be it law enforcement /security professionals or any other profession, we strive
to teach each student to follow a moral path. At times, the moral paths must be defended by combat.

The idea of any Combat is to fight with what you have available, any object becomes a tool...
From brain that you have in your head to avoid violence, to the gun in your hand. The fighting spirit is helping
the community you live in, to be a security conscious community.

Evaluation of the technique as well as evolution of technique and methods must be done for every technique in
order to examine if it fits our scenario.
AKM's ideas are based on evaluating a technique to determine whether it can be done by any person. This
means that the method needs to be easy to teach and relate. You strive to look for simple, fast effective
techniques that can be easily and quickly learned, used and remembered.

Amanuut Krav Maga does not promote "instructor training "courses. We believe that you must put in your time to
the system not just your money. AKM doesn't believe in giving out instructor certificates to people that claim they
teach reality based techniques never having experience in dealing with people that had their lives changed by
violence. Giving out "instructor certificates" give them a false sense of professionalism as well as the people they
teach are given bought techniques. We believe in developing the student through the experiences of the
teacher. And this can not be done in over seas seminars. Experience can not be bought in a "instructor training
seminar".

AKM agrees with the other professionals in the business where we don't like the commercial way in which Israeli
martial arts are being presented to civilians.
More importantly, since the people claiming to teach reality based combat were never experienced in reality and
teach "Israeli” martial arts that were full of fantasy techniques being SOLD as reality based.

Amanuut Krav Maga Instructors were blessed to teach defensive Tactics to people in the security and protective
fields and befriending those wonderful pros in the business and exchanging experiences.

These professionals didn't want to get involved in martial arts politics or with any of the names that are used for
teaching the public. Amanuut Krav Maga means "the art of contact combat" or art of combat. And like art, the
student decides how much color to use once the student gets a foundation. Or like a chef, you have the basic
recipe, now it's time for you to choose how much salt and pepper you want to add .Art is ever developing and
always progressive in the hands of a wise artist.

The AKM is a modern martial art while having it's roots traditional combat arts and older martial styles,they can
only be effective only if combined Together.
Modern combat arts can't live without the traditional and the traditional needs the modern. We strive to adapt to
the modern mindset. However my motto is truth above tradition.
