English as a Second Language
(HSI) programs are designed for non-native speakers with basic, intermediate or advanced level
language skills.
Teaching material is adapted to the participants' level and fully tailored to meet their English
language needs and learning style.
Some of the methodologies used are:
Workplace English
This is a group language program, designed for employees with limited to beginner’s knowledge
of English.
We focuse on workplace English, the program advances student’s basic understanding of
company procedures and improves communication with English speaking co-workers,
managers and supervisors and customers. Great for the international companies!
All programs are adapted to participant’s schedule and may include the following topics (partial
list):
Accent Reduction
Learning the sounds, stress patterns, rhythm, and intonation patterns is a separate process from
learning the grammar and vocabulary of a new language.
HSI's Accent Reduction program is designed to help non-native English speakers tackle those
skills and improve their mispronunciation of sounds and patterns.
Taught preferably one-on-one, or small groups of 4 students. The program prioritizes the
participant’s needs and job-specific English vocabulary necessary to function more effectively at
work.
Our 5-step accent reduction approach results in easily understandable conversational speech.
